Extreme work under a bridge: SV-400 side grip technology shows the benefits

Project Description
A Hitachi 350-3G excavator equipped with a VIBRA SV-400 side vibrator was installing 800x300mm H-shaped steel sheet piles under the Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway in Yingzhou District.
The work was carried out in a limited height of just 2.6m under the bridge, where the use of traditional pile driving rigs is not possible. With its unique side-grip design, the SV-400 is fully adapted to work in narrow spaces, ensuring safe and precise positioning of piles.
With equipment capable of developing a centrifugal force of up to 656 kN, it was possible to achieve high efficiency in driving piles, overcome space limitations and significantly increase work productivity, demonstrating the excellent adaptability of the equipment in special construction conditions.
