Project Description
As part of the construction of the pile foundation of the Shima-tou Bridge in the Pudong region, a SY650H excavator-piling rig equipped with a VIBRA FV-600 hydraulic vibrator drove prestressed concrete tubular piles (PC piles) with a diameter of 820 mm and a total length of 34 m.
To implement the project, the technology of stage-by-stage pile building was used. At the first stage, the pile was immersed to a given depth, after which the next section was welded for further immersion to the design mark.
When working with large and extra-long piles with a diameter of 820 mm, the equipment faced severe loads and high performance requirements. With a powerful vibration system and high centrifugal force, the VIBRA FV-600 vibratory driver has demonstrated excellent pile driving ability even in difficult soil conditions.
