HDY22 - Heavy Hydraulic Impact Hammer | Impact energy 330 kNm for deep driving of piles | Impact weight 22 t with D-series hydraulic power station for large diameter piles
HDY22 occupies an intermediate position between the medium hammers (HDY18) and the flagship model HDY25. With rated impact energy330 kNm The hammer delivers consistent high energy every cycle without requiring the full weight of a 25-ton striker. The HDY22 is optimized for driving 1.2-1.8m diameter steel pipes, large reinforced concrete piles and composite wall sections to depths in excess of 30m in dense glacial deposits, weathered rock or hard clay.
The basis of the design isimpact weight 22 t, moving up and down with a fixed stroke1500 mm.
Each blow provides330 kNm deep pile driving energy. Adjustable beat frequency20–70 beats/min allows you to adjust the rhythm of work to the ground resistance:
Low frequency (20–35 beats/min) - for dense layers that require complete energy transfer;
High frequency (50–70 beats/min) - for soft soils, maintaining the hammer cycle speed and the inertia of the pile.
HDY22 is equipped with a series hydraulic stationDcompatible with modelD360 (480 l/min at 26 MPa) orD550 (900 l/min at 27 MPa). D550 provides fast beat cycle to maintain frequency60–70 beats/min. The hydraulic unit includes two Rexroth axial piston pumps (260 cm³ + 190 cm³), a 1600 l hydraulic tank and a diesel engine with a power of 410–550 kW. If necessary, the hydraulic unit can provide clamping force for vibratory hammers, increasing the versatility of use.
Hammer equippedreinforced leader and chassis, designed to stop and reverse a 22-ton impact mass. The leader is made of high-strength steel 12 mm thick with wear-resistant bronze inserts. The chassis has hydraulic dampers at the top and bottom of the stroke, reducing shock loads on the cylinder and pile head. This significantly extends the service life of the hammer during continuous heavy use.
The multi-stage impact damping system (impact pad + polyurethane damping ring) effectively transfers impact energy to the pile, absorbing peak loads. The damping ring can be replaced on site without removing the hammer from the leader.
Its status as an expert in driving large-diameter piles has been confirmed by practice: the HDY22 has successfully driven steel pipes with a diameter of 1.6 m to a depth of 35 m in mixed soils, outperforming diesel hammers of similar power.
Total hammer weight (including leader) —34,680 kg, mass of supporting equipment -870 kg. The cylinder is equipped with Trelleborg seals and a chrome-plated rod. The valve control unit is a Rexroth cartridge system with electromagnetic pilot control. The built-in PLC monitors the position of the impact part using sensors, counts the number of impacts and regulates the oil flow for stable operation.
For contractors who require more than 300kNm of energy but do not need the HDY25's gross weight,HDY22 Provides perfect balance: impact mass22 t, fixed stroke1500 mm, adaptive beat rate20–70 beats/min, compatibility with D-series hydraulic units and a reinforced leader with the chassis - the result:330 kNm deep pile driving energy, quiet, emission-free and highly controllable, even in urban areas and close to existing buildings.
