YEKUN Weiboro FV-280R – Unlimited Rotary Piling Device | 335 kN vibrating hammer with rotating head for 23-27 t excavators
YEKUN Weiboro FV-280R is an infinitely rotatable piling head designed for 23-27 ton excavators. Unlike fixed hammers that force the machine to perfectly align with each pile, this rotating head vibratory hammer allows the operator to rotate the clamp and pile to any azimuth without moving the tracks. The result: faster perimeter pile driving, less track wear and the ability to work close to walls or inside sheet piles.
The FV-280R is based on a concentric rotary fitting with a bore. Hydraulic oil flows up through the center of the slewing bearing rather than around it. This eliminates external hose loops that get twisted, kinked and burst on conventional rotary hammers.
The fitting can withstand a working pressure of 32 MPa (peak 40 MPa) and has a 12-month no-leak guarantee. Because there are no hoses to wrap around, the operator can rotate the hammer continuously in any direction—no stops, no cable management.
The grease-sealed slewing bearing has an axial load rating of 90 tons, which is more than enough for a 1900 kg hammer head and vibration reaction forces. The internal raceways are induction hardened to HRC 58–62, and double lip seals prevent the ingress of water, sand and cement slurry. The bearing is preloaded during assembly to zero play, maintaining clamp alignment even after thousands of full 360° rotations.
Omnidirectional excitation with a force of 335 kN means that the hammer transmits its centrifugal force equally in any rotated position. The eccentricity moment is 4.3 kg m at 2800 rpm. Maximum pile length reaches 12 meters - suitable for Larsen steel sheet piles, concrete piles and I-beams. The clamping force is transmitted through parallel jaws, which self-center along the thickness of the pile from 8 to 40 mm.
The hose routing channel, protected from twisting, runs inside the cast boom. The discharge and drain lines are separated by a steel partition to prevent abrasion. When the hammer rotates, only the short end hoses from the fitting to the motor move; all other hoses remain stationary. Field testing shows hose life increases to over 3,000 operating hours, compared to 800 to 1,000 hours on rotary hammers with externally routed hoses.
Compatibility with compact 23-27t carriers is critical: the FV-280R weighs 1900kg for the hammer head plus 500kg for the boom. This keeps the overall weight below 2500kg, which is well within the lifting capacity of a 25 tonne excavator at full reach. Universal mounting bracket fits Hitachi ZX250, Caterpillar 320-325, Komatsu PC240 and Volvo EC250 without adapter plates.
Operators benefit from covering a 12m radius from one position - one excavator position can cover a 24m diameter pile circle. For warehouse foundations or bridge supports, this often means being able to complete an entire row without moving a single track. The FV-280R also includes a manual rotary lock for traditional straight-line driving when preferred, but most crews leave the rotary feature unlocked.
For contractors who want the performance of a 360° rotating hammer without upgrading to a 35-ton carrier, the YEKUN Weiboro FV-280R unlimited rotating piling head provides the performance of a rotating head vibratory hammer at a price for the 23-27 ton class. She turns awkward angles into straight punches.
